We treat new technology as a differentiator. It’s a way to learn, evolve and have something new to offer to every project. Early in 2015, the crew started messing around with some VR tech and 360˚ cameras. This exciting new medium fascinated us immensely and it wasn’t long before we created a variety of VR/360˚ content in multiple formats- using some of the coolest hardware and software available to us. Today, as we are experience VR as the most immersive medium available to mankind, go ahead and explore the repository of virtual worlds we have recreated.

Kiran Nadar Museum of ARt

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art is the first private museum for modern art in India. The idea behind this project was simple - the much needed ‘democratization of art’ with the help of technology. Audiences across the globe can now digitally experience the carefully curated exhibitions - the next best thing to actually being there. KNMA wanted to make this museum experience a digital space for confluence and conversations. The most rewarding outcome of this experience was the inclusion of wider audiences to these conversations - without the limitations of geography, accessibility or even disability. Using machine learning to analyse the user behavioural patterns gave us a lot of insight into using this technology to help curators in enhancing the exhibition experience.

PÉRO x Ogaan

Designer Aneeth Arora’s funky new collection ‘DISCO 2020’ launched at Ogaan during the 2020 lockdown. While the collection was designed to provide a much needed visual respite, the idea was to give the users an opportunity to shop within an immersive 3D/360˚ format. Breaking away from the traditional, monotonous e-commerce interfaces, this experience enables audiences to browse through the store at their own pace, zoom into something they like - view videos, photos and catalogues - and ‘add to cart’ all within this virtual interface.

A 3D space scan is a great medium to make real-world spaces more accessible. This AI-powered technology helps scan not just 2D surfaces, but depth as well. While interacting with the experience, the viewer can see the space from a bird’s eye perspective as well as have the freedom to switch to the inside view for an immersive walkthrough experience - guided by markings that make you feel like you're actually there. Leveraging the power of cloud 3D platforms like Smithsonian X3D, Sketchup, Matterport, Zillow and Pinshape, we recreate environments and structures with precise measurements and accurate textures.

A boutique that hosts a selection of Indian design across clothing, fine and costume jewellery, as well as accents for home. Housing everything from Péro to Abraham & Thakore, Chintz is nestled away in the Indo-French part of Pondicherry.

Mysterés de l'Angkor

This is the splendid Angkorvat Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The architecture of this historical monument is nothing short of spectacular. Here's a walkthrough of one of the structures. #theta360 - Spherical Image - RICOH THETA

The Khmer civilization centered on Angkor was one of the most remarkable to flourish in Southeast Asia. Between the 8th and the 13th centuries, a succession of Hindu and Buddhist kings created magnificent temples in stone. Their elaborate carvings and intricate architecture amazed the first Europeans who visited in the 19th century and continue to fascinate today, when after many years of political turmoil, Angkor is once again accessible. The renowned French scholar, Claude Jacques, has studied Angkor and its history for the past 30 years, while Michael Freeman has made many photographic trips there during a 15 year period. BongWater Films, in 2017, embarked upon a journey to capture Angkor in VR. 'Mysterés de l'Angkor' embodies the fruits of their collaboration and includes the results of new research and discoveries made during recent excavations.

THE SIHANOUKVILLE DIARIES

Sihanoukville would never win first prize in a pretty-town competition but thanks to a surrounding coastline of white-sand beaches and sun-drenched islands, this is Cambodia's most happening sun-sloth destination. Further away from the hustle, in the far south of town, is the relaxed Otres Beach, where cheap bungalow joints and bohemian-flavoured guesthouses are now neighbours with rather swish boutique resorts. The mellow scene here ticks all the boxes if you're looking for lazy days of sunbathing rather than night-time bar-hopping. Beyond Otres beach, the adventurous can find sandy strips rimmed by casuarina trees and coconut palms to have all to themselves. Sihanoukville is also the jumping-off point to Cambodia's southern islands, where castaway-cool beckons. The Sihanoukville Diaries showcases the best of this small beach-town that's evolving as one of South-East Asia's top destinations.

The Blackbird Blues

In 1968, the Beatles arrived in northern India to attend an advanced transcendental meditation training session under their newly appointed 'spiritual guru' - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi . The visit, largely followed by the British, American and the European press, was one of the most productive periods for the band. During 1967 and 1968, the Yogi's influence over the Beatles, as well as other western musicians, was at its peak and although their time with him was short, it had a marked impact on their lives and their music. Whatever shortcomings the Beatles' interaction with the maharishi may have had, the experience — which lasted only eight months, from August 1967 to April 1968 — seems to have opened a floodgate of creativity and got them out of what threatened to be a creative rut. We wouldn't have been listening to the "White Album" without this riverside physical, spiritual and often psychedelic adventure. The Blackbird Blues is an attempt to capture some of those stories that changed the Beatles and put India bang in the middle of the music scene.
